Chatham Primary School exudes an ambitious, supportive and engaging learning environment which motivates and transforms students whilst generating positive attitudes to learning and responsibility as global citizens.
CELEBRATE.
We acknowledge, champion and celebrate the uniqueness and changing capacities of every student as they transform through an unerring and exciting educational journey.
Our mission and vision is imbued with strong, traditional values that are encapsulated at its most fundamental level by the notion of striving to be fair, to be safe and to be kind.
In all, we engage in.
In all, we seek to do.
This is actualised and demonstrated through the following values: Respect, Resilience, Responsibility, Honesty, Partnership, Learning
Respect: Valuing the differences, beliefs and abilities of others by displaying tolerance, good manners, compassion and care. Having regard for oneself and others, as well as the community and our environment.
Resilience: Having a belief in yourself and your own unique abilities and recognising that you are valued by others. Developing self worth, flexibility, initiative and persistence.
Responsibility: Displaying self discipline, being accountable for the decisions you make and the actions and words you use. Honesty: Being reliable, truthful and fair, while being true to yourself and others.
Partnership: Embracing the development of cooperative, inclusive and supportive relationships between students, parents, teachers and the wider community to achieve common and shared goals.
Learning: Developing critical, creative and reflective thinking skills and knowledge to maximise each child's potential as independent, motivated and life long learners in a global context.
It is our priority to cater for the academic, social and emotional needs of each student as they embark upon the enriched journey that is their life.
For almost a century, Chatham Primary School staff have championed and supported each child with quality, evidence-based educational experiences that have been fostered and cherished by a strong, aspirant and inclusive community.
Born through combined and inclusive aspiration, rigor, high expecations, connectedness and a belief in preferred futures, with demonstrated leadership and sustainability.
The school embodies a rich and compelling history of community spirit and inclusion that allows a connectedness to, and an appreciation and regard of the past, whilst building a sense of optimism and foreboding about preferred futures.
